The beauty industry is one of the leading contributors to the global plastic crisis but we intend to change that with your help. Our fully recyclable, shower-friendly paper BeautyCarton™ help to reduce the amount of plastic waste hitting our landfills and waterways—and it’s next life will help build homes and make school supplies—we believe the future is circular.
Did you know that our BeautyCarton™ is made from a renewable resource—paper! and is sourced from FSC sustainably managed forests where trees grow and store carbon. For every tree that is harvested, another is planted. Our packaging uses 95% less plastic and is more lightweight than traditional beauty packaging which means every time you buy one of our products, you are helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We help protect eco-habitats on land by supporting sustainably managed forests and reducing plastic pollution. We are also helping to protect and rebuild our ocean’s health. Oceans sequester 5-10 times more CO2 than any other ecosystem on Earth – that’s why we are supporting Sea-Trees.org in their mission to rebuild the kelp forests in Palos Verdes, California. For each sk*p product purchased, we donate to Sea-Trees.org, a nonprofit organization that’s helping to restore and protect blue-carbon coastal ecosystems.
Our growing community of skpsters have impacted real change. Check out their stories and ideas that inspire us every day. Follow us on Instagram and TikTok to see what we’re up to and help us make a difference.
We’re a brand that you can always count on to be honest and open to change, we’re figuring it out as we go and learning every day. As we continue to research and explore better materials, we hope that you will ask questions and send us your ideas, we’re all in this together. Help us be the change we want to see in the world. Sk*p formulas will never include synthetic fragrances, parabens, silicones, phthalates, sulfates, sodium chloride and PEGs or any of the global regulatory list of banned cosmetic ingredients.
Fun fact:Paper fibers can be recycled up to 7x before they fully break down
Once you’re done with your sk*p product, it should be recycled—keep the cap on, and don’t flatten the box then leave out for curbside pick-up. Cartons go through a process of re-pulping, enabling the paper fibers to be recovered and reused for such things as furniture, wall linings, and form work for concrete.
It’ll go on to a new life where it can be used to make other essentials like tissue paper, paper towels and even notebooks!
